Audi e-Tron Prototype First Drive Review: Tomorrow's World Today

The counterpoint is a distinct absence of the noises required to warn errant pedestrians from crossing in front of this electric car. Audi say they have the issue in hand, but no external noise-generating device was installed on this prototype. Where you would expect to find the motor under the hood of a normal car the e-tron has no additional luggage compartment, only a flat shelf with a compartment to house the charging cables. On that score, thanks to Audi’s bespoke double-sided charging bays, the e-tron is also set to gain a head start in the charging station race. We were told that their 150 kW fast-charger takes 30 minutes to deliver an 80-percent charge good for up to 248 miles of normal driving. The 3D sound effect can be tailored to individual preferences in three steps, while a virtual slider on the Touch MMI’s 7-inch OLED display allows you to continuously adjust the surround effect. From the passenger seat some discoloration in the vocal bandwidth, and glitches in image stability detracted from a totally convincing audio experience. However, it is important to remember that this car was a prototype, and high-end car audio systems are often optimized with more bias towards the driver regardless of the selected setup. Audi says the system benefits greatly from the symphonic algorithm B&O developed in cooperation with the Fraunhofer Institute in Erlangen. This calculates the information with semantic abilities to distinguish between direct sound and spatial components from stereo or 5.1 recordings in the third dimension and prepares them for the 3D speakers. The low-midrange drivers of the 705-watt B&O system are housed in their own enclosures and integrated into the front doors.

Instagram Stories getting more interactive with new Question Sticker conversation starters

Instagram Stories getting more interactive with new ‘Question Sticker’ conversation starters Instagram has launched a new feature for Stories called the Question Sticker. This interactive new option was designed to make it easier for users to engage with friends and followers on the platform. Announced in a blog post , Instagram shared that the question sticker expands on the existing polling sticker and emoji slider to “get closer with all of your friends on Instagram.” Here’s how to use the new feature that’s rolling out today for both iOS and Android: Add a question sticker to your story by selecting it from the sticker tray after taking a photo or video. Type out your prompt then place it wherever you’d like and share it to your story. When friends see the sticker, they can tap it to reply — and they can reply as many times as they want, right from the sticker. Instagram says that when you use a question sticker, you’ll be able to see all of the followers that have responded to it in your viewers list. If you share a follower’s response in a new story, their photo and user name won’t be visible. Instagram is a free download from the App Store .

Practical Guidelines For Rudimentary First Page Google Products

A Quick A-to-z On Swift Systems In [seo Services]

Some Basic Tips On Useful Solutions

People read an article, find a call-to-action (CTA) at the bottom, which links to a lead magnet on your site. Isn’t it the same with content posted on your site? Of course, you can optimize your article pages better by customizing and visualizing the CTA, setting up exit-intent pop-ups and more. But what can you do with your highly optimized page for conversions if it is not receiving traffic? It’s clear that potential gains of syndicated SEO content outweigh its downsides for those on the lower part of the DA spectrum. Now, not all the sites work the magic. If you want to get the most out of syndicated SEO content, you have to go after the most authoritative and credible sites in your domain. I personally use Moz and their domain authority (DA) metric to evaluate potential sites for syndication. Your goal is the first page, and more precisely, the first three positions,  as the click-through rate drops  below a mere eight after the 3d ranking (see the chart below). As such, in most cases, you are shooting for sites with a DA of 80 or higher. For perspective, here are the DA ranks of several highly credible sites: Another key to the success of syndicated SEO content is the quality of CTAs in the article.

"Students may previously have done three A-Levels plus one AS-level and may have done an arts subject as their additional subject," says Jill Stokoe, a policy advisor at the National Education Union. This is speculative, she says, but English A-level uptake has fallen by 14% since the decoupling began and a survey by the English and Media Centre (EMC), a charity which supports English education, suggests decoupling has been a key factor in the reduction. Exams: How do the new 9-1 GCSE grades work? This means English might be one of the subjects losing out as result of the limiting of choices at the start of A-levels. The exams and qualifications regulator Ofqual says that part of the move away from arts and social sciences is due to the shift to Stem subjects - something the government has actively encouraged. The National Audit Office estimates that between 2007 and 2017, about £990m has been spent on "enhancing Stem skills", both for teachers and pupils. Groups, including the British Council, the Incorporated Society of Musicians and Creative Industries Federation (CFI), have raised concerns over the decrease in arts subjects. The CFI says the exclusion of arts subjects from the EBacc has signalled to schools "that creativity is not fundamental to future skills and jobs". The government says that the creative sector is worth £92bn. google first page guaranteed Interestingly, there's no indication yet that changes in subject choice in school exams has had a direct impact on university choices.

Japan to require airlines to accommodate wheelchair users from October

Japan to require airlines to accommodate wheelchair users from October Japan to require airlines to accommodate wheelchair users from October Japan will from October require airlines to ensure that disabled and elderly passengers can board planes while seated in wheelchairs. (Shutterstock/cunaplus) Japan will from October require airlines to ensure that disabled and elderly passengers can board planes while seated in wheelchairs, government sources said Tuesday. The move comes amid a push to make hotels, transportation and other services more accessible ahead of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics. The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism is currently looking into the necessary legal changes to oblige airlines that operate regular domestic and international flights in Japan to introduce wheelchair lifts, ramps and other equipment. Read also: Paralympic athlete releases new, wheelchair-friendly ASOS clothing line The need for airlines to better accommodate wheelchair users entered the spotlight in June last year in the highly publicized incident of a paraplegic man climbing up a flight of stairs using his arms after he was denied entry to a plane because of his disability. The man, Hideto Kijima, was heading home from the resort island of Amami Oshima in southwestern Japan when a staffer at the local airport told him he could not board the Vanilla Air Inc. flight because there was no equipment to assist with boarding and disembarkation of wheelchair users. Vanilla and other low-cost carriers are more likely to require such equipment because their planes often park out on the tarmac and cannot be boarded directly from airport terminals using bridges.

Read These Travel Tips And Travel With Ease

So you are interested in traveling? The world is a big place, and there are a lot of places to go. You are likely filled with great anticipation already. For sure you are wanting to maximize the fun and have the best traveling experience. Following are some handy tips others have found helpful, read on:

When you travel to other countries, try using an ATM for withdrawals for pocket cash instead of exchanging your cash for the country's currency. Banks will get better rates for exchanging currencies than you would be able to get. This may save you money later on.

Choosing an aisle seat allows you to have many more options. A window seat has a view, but a seat at the aisle allows you more freedom in accessing your overhead bags, restrooms, getting attention of the service staff, and free space on one side of you.

Be wise about food allergies when visiting a foreign country to avoid dangerous liaisons. If your food allergy is particularly bad, make sure to express this in their language. This helps ensure that the wait staff is clearly informed of your allergies in case of an emergency.

There are some criminals in foreign cities that pretend to be police officers, so be careful. Don't give anyone your original passport, because this could set you up for theft. If they state you must go to an office, offer to walk the distance with them. Do not ever agree to go somewhere with someone you don't know.

Join a price watcher for travel. This feature offered by many websites lets you enter in destinations you travel to frequently and it watches them for you. You will receive a notification if a hotel or airline reduces the price to your desired amount. This will help ensure you don't miss a savings opportunity.

Before booking, do all the necessary research. Find websites offering lots of reviews and information about the destinations you want to explore. Ask people you know who have been there before. You can have realistic expectations when you do your homework, which makes your time at that destination all the better.

If you're going to be staying at a hotel, pack a door stopper. Many countries do not offer the security you need when staying in a hotel room. Put a doorstop under your door if there isn't a deadbolt.

Sleeping pills or tranquilizers can help you through those long red-eye flights. For many people, sleeping on a plane is almost impossible, between the uncomfortable seats and the noise level. To help you get some sleep during your flight, you should take a pill that makes you relax. Don't have the pill before the plane takes off, as a delay or problem may require that the plane returns.

Check the dates on when your passport expires. A lot of countries have certain rules concerning passports. If your passport expires soon, many countries will refuse you entrance into their country. These time frames can range anywhere from three months to a year.

No matter what the time is in your home-land, make sure you stay out of bed until 8pm local time. This will help you assimilate to the new time zone much quicker, and help to ward off jet lag. Even if you feel like you must go to sleep, avoid going to bed too early when you travel across time zones. If you do, you may prolong your jet lag as your body will not have adjusted to the new time. If you can quickly adjust to the new time, you will beat jet lag.

Hopefully, you've found reading these tips to be worthwhile. You obviously want to get the most out of your trip. Implement these tips on your next trip. Have a fabulous time on your trip! Your destination is anticipating your arrival.

In The Land Of Travel Agents, The Tables Have Turned

Doug Gollan Former PR executive Vikram Seshadri , an advisor with Protravel International, is moving from the San Francisco Bay area to Mexico City for the next year. He then plans to base himself in Barcelona for about six months after that. The same digital technology that has put everything at your fingertips has done so for advisors as well. Top sellers spend more than half the year traveling to research first-hand new experiences, hotels, and suites for their customers. They also use social media to share with their followers, mainly clients, and Goldman says both his agency page and advisor accounts get booking requests from Instagram after posting pictures. That also means while advisors who used to think locally about potential clients now serve customers around-the-globe. One agent from Tennessee has a half-dozen clients in Japan, first a relative of a local customer, then friends of that new customer. Upchurch says technology like Skype means an advisor can loop in a client who has questions with a safari operator in Africa to talk through any concerns and close the deal. Of course, all this takes time, and advisors aren’t machines that can be easily added to handle increased demand, which leads to why a significant discussion was about whether or not advisors need to be more selective in who they work with. Suppliers also prefer getting bookings through agents.

Take A Vacation And Use This Advice To Help

Welcome to the wide world of traveling! The world is a big place, and there are a lot of places to go. It is a very exciting time. Surely, you want to have the best trip possible! The advice shared below will help make your next trip a great one.

If traveling by air, it is important to think ahead of time. Major airports are in big cities much of the time, so getting through traffic and to your gate on time can be a challenge. Make sure you get your packing done the night before. It is crucial to have everything planned out in advance. Missing a flight is a horrible experience that you never want to go through.

It is important to keep a photograph of your child on you, in case they wander away. Losing your child is a scary situation. However, in case it happens, you should be prepared. If you have a picture of your child on you then this can come in handy if they ever end up getting lost.

Upon arrival, check your hotel room's alarm. Lots of travelers have had the unpleasant experience of being awoken by an alarm set by someone else. Make sure you check the alarm clock and make sure it's set for a time that is good for you;, otherwise, you might find yourself off to a terrible start on your vacation.

Work off your flying anxiety with a jog before you head to the airport. A long flight can be extremely boring. You will be sitting in one spot for a long time, and this may cause back and leg cramps. If you get a quick workout before boarding the flight, it can help to reduce the chance of getting leg cramps. If nothing else, try stretching a little.

Give your bellhop and maid a nice tip. A good rule of thumb is $1 per bag/luggage and about $2-5 a day for housekeeping. This will increase the quality of service in your hotel and make your stay more enjoyable.

Using a motorcycle may be beneficial on day trips. You can get a lot of mileage without using much gas. You can have a real adventure when you travel by motorcycle.

Use sleeping pills to help you fall asleep on an overnight flight. Lots of people aren't comfortable sleeping on planes, because the place isn't familiar, the seats are uncomfortable, and the passengers and airplane make noise. To help you get some sleep during your flight, you should take a pill that makes you relax. Importantly, wait on taking the pill until the flight has taken off; this keeps you mentally aware in case there are delays or changes in the schedule.

You should now have some great tips that you can incorporate into your own travel plans. You will surely want to enjoy your travel time as much as possible. Apply these provided suggestions the very next time you travel. Say "hello" to the wonderful world of travel! A fabulous time awaits.

Since 1971, only seven other typhoons have made landfall within 65 nautical miles of Mokpo (southwest South Korea) . Forecast Rainfall from Soulik and Cimaron Soulik isn't the only typhoon threat this week for Japan. Typhoon Cimaron is expected to steadily gain strength into Thursday and will approach central Japan as a typhoon late Thursday or early Friday, likely in Shikoku or central Honshu.  Cimaron has already brought gusty winds, bands of rain and large surf to Northern Mariana Islands and in Guam . Conditions are now improving improve there. Cimaron will travel northwestward through at least early Thursday along the western periphery of a high pressure system, then make landfall while turning north. Parts of central Japan could see a burst of heavy rain, strong winds, storm surge and high surf Thursday into Friday. While traveling over central Japan, Cimaron should curve eastward along the edge of the same high pressure area, and to the east of whatever is left of Soulik. Cimaron should weaken over land and the cooler waters of the Sea of Japan.  The higher population centers of eastern Honshu, including Tokyo, should remain less affected with the biggest impacts being breezy conditions and increased shower activity Thursday into Friday.  (The red-shaded area denotes the potential path of the center of the tropical cyclone. It's important to note that impacts (particularly heavy rain, high surf, coastal flooding, winds) with any tropical cyclone usually spread beyond its forecast path.) Ideas On Criteria For

Pompeo returning to North Korea, White House says

The top US diplomat will fly to Pyongyang on July 5 to meet North Korean leader Kim Jong Un and his team, White House spokeswoman Sarah Sanders said Monday. It will be his third known trip to North Korea as the US continues to push for a deal that will dismantle Pyongyang's nuclear program, potentially reducing tensions on the peninsula and recasting the geopolitical landscape of East Asia following the June 12 Singapore summit between Kim and President Donald Trump. A team of US officials led by envoy Sung Kim met with North Korean officials Sunday at Panmunjom, the border village between North and South Korea in the demilitarized zone, in the first face-to-face conversations between the two countries since the summit last month, according to senior State Department officials. During his trip, Pompeo will "continue consultations and implement the forward progress made by President Trump and Chairman Kim in Singapore," according to the State Department. Pompeo calls reporter's question 'insulting' 02:41 The news comes amid a flurry of new questions over Kim's commitment to denuclearize as leaked reports from US intelligence officials and analysis of open source satellite imagery appear to cast doubt on North Korea's willingness to abandon its nuclear weapons program. On Monday, CNN reported that the Defense Intelligence Agency believes Kim has no intention of engaging in a full denuclearization program, at least for now, according to an administration official familiar with the agency's finding. A second official told CNN the Trump administration plans to present the North Koreans with a detailed list of tasks they must undertake to begin a denuclearization process. The Washington Post earlier reported on US intelligence officials' doubt that North Korea intends to fully surrender its nuclear stockpile. Sanders would not comment on the reports when asked about them on Monday, saying only, "We aren't going to confirm or deny any intelligence reports." Asked specifically whether Trump still trusts Kim, Sanders again wouldn't say. "We see progress and momentum in the process and we've had good conversations as recently as yesterday and we're going to continue those conversations and push forward," she said. The announcement also comes just one day after US national security adviser John Bolton said on CBS News' "Face the Nation" that North Korea's nuclear arsenal could be dismantled in a year if Pyongyang cooperates, adding that the program would require "full disclosure of all (of North Korea's) chemical and biological, nuclear programs, ballistic missile sites." US intel agency believes Kim won't fully denuclearize "We have developed a program.

The LG Mobile World Cup, a text-messaging competition, was won by the Korean team when it was held in New York in 2010. And it may be no coincidence that Korean Olympians have excelled at rapid-fire sports like archery and shooting. They have dominated most of all, though, at short-track speed skating, amassing a total of 48 Olympic medals to date. Yet outside commentators sometimes overly rely on the idea of ppalli-ppalli when trying to explain Korea, notes Koo Se-woong, publisher of Korea Exposé , an independent media outlet specialising in the Korean Peninsula. “It’s almost like a caricature of Korean culture,” Koo said. “I understand that there is an emphasis on speed here, but it’s strange to see how that is distilled into this particular expression which is not even employed by Koreans themselves with any kind of frequency.” It’s almost like a caricature of Korean culture And while many Koreans have fully embraced the convenience of instant noodles and same-day parcel deliveries, others have rejected the hustle and bustle of city life. Numerous celebrities, for instance, have moved to the southern island of Jeju, which is much slower paced.

What's Needed For Primary Details Of

North Korea: Liaison OfficesThe First Time

In fact, an agreement on the exchange of liaison offices was a part of the Agreed Framework signed in October 1994, and considerable negotiations took place on such an exchange at that time. I was the point man during those negotiations and in hopes the historical record may be of some use, I list below what was agreed upon bilaterally, and the unilateral actions taken by the US side, to prepare for an exchange. My colleague at the time, Jeff Goldstein—who worked with me on the negotiations—has confirmed my recollections. There were five meetings of negotiating teams, alternating between Pyongyang and Washington, from September 1994 through mid-1995, as well as copious direct communications between the teams via fax and phone. The US side was optimistic the exchange would take place, and the DPRK side (the Foreign Ministry) seemed dedicated to the enterprise until very late in the process. The exchange was to have been under the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations, Article 14 (c). This article describes a class of mission accredited to the Foreign Minister of the receiving state (Secretary of State for the US) instead of the Head of State. The Republic of Korea at first objected to this as being “official diplomatic relations,” which it indeed was to be, and suggested the US and DPRK negotiate a special unique bilateral agreement outside of the Vienna Convention. The US, however, said it would not send people to the DPRK without the full diplomatic protection of the Vienna Convention. The head of mission would be called “Head of Liaison Office.” The DPRK side asked if it sent a person to be Head of Liaison Office who had previously held an ambassadorship if they could be addressed as “Ambassador.” The US side said such a person could use the honorific title in self-reference but it would not convey the person to be an ambassador accredited to the US.
